Make a plan each night for how you will spend the next day. Share that plan with a parent.
Check each of your Google Classrooms nightly and check your email at least twice a day.
If you’re having difficulty completing assignments or logging on to Zoom sessions, email your teachers and let them know. Don’t be shy about asking for help!
Eat breakfast, lunch and snacks around your Zoom times instead of during your Zoom times whenever possible.
We highly recommend that you find a spot for your online learning that is relatively quiet and has a surface to put your device, your papers, etc.
Getting dressed and sitting up will likely help you be more alert and attentive.
Be kind to one another.
Just like at school, we expect you to treat one another and your teachers with kindness and respect.
During Zoom sessions, the Chat function is for questions and comments pertinent to the class.
Keep your mic off unless you are asked to have it on by your teachers. (Background noise and interference makes it difficult to hear). Use the “raise hand” feature to call attention to your teacher if you have a comment or question.
Avoid digital multitasking.
Many of you manage to look at more than one screen at a time on a regular basis. Others have a very hard time focusing on more than one thing at a time.
When you are in a Zoom session, try your best to focus only on the conversation in the Zoom class.
