We hope all our Akiba families are staying healthy! While we are now officially on Passover Break until April 20, there is still much going on at Akiba Atmosphere! Corona Chesed: During this difficult time, we are happy to connect families within our Akiba community who are in need of help with those who are able to help. Several families have already been paired together for grocery purchases, online "childcare," and more. Please complete this form to be a part of this effort. Passover Programs:
Model Seder: Monday, April 6, 10-10:45am. All grade school students are invited to join together for a Model Seder in (link sent via email). It is optional, but promises to be lots of fun!
Burning the Chametz: Wednesday, April 8, 10:30-10:50am. All are invited to watch and learn about the burning of the chametz in (link sent via email)
Annual Grade School Reading Contest: Every spring, grade school students are invited to participate in a reading contest. The contest was launched on Friday, April 3 and will continue until Monday, June 1. This (optional) program is a yearly favorite with the grand prize being a dinner with teachers and published authors. All information and forms can be found at this link: Grade School Reading Contest Passover Break Programs on Zoom: We are well aware that this Passover Break is very different from what we had imagined it would be. Knowing that we are all stuck at home, our staff, in addition to students and parents, have volunteered to host a wide variety of electives.
